The International Main Street
Polka Band
Denny Anderson Craig Ebel Eric Noltkamper David Austin
"The International Main Street Polka Band" plays Slovenian / Swiss style polka music. The sound is unique, it takes the instrumentation and feel of the American Slovenian polka music and occasionally blends some Swiss Yodeling that is reminiscent of the late Roger Bright and Frankie Yankovic styles. The band is always a hit at their live performances and can be heard live several times throughout the year.
"The International Main Street Polka Band" was the idea of Denny Anderson. The band members had played internationally, they had played on mainstreet in New Glarus, Wisconsin for their polkafest for many years with the Roger Bright Band and they all played polka music, so "The International Main Street Polka Band" was born. A long title with a true meaning. In the year 2001 they lost a great friend and musician Roger Bright and in a small way this group is a tribute to the style that Roger Bright created.

Denny Anderson’s musical career started, playing guitar with his father’s band, "Merle's Polka Boys". After his father's band he played string bass with "Bob Mastel and the Polka Sharps" a very popular polka band from Minnesota. Denny then met and played his first job with “America’s Polka King” "Frankie Yankovic & the Yanks", it was a week engagement, at a popular polka lounge in Virginia, Minnesota and later went on to perform and record with Frankie Yankovic. Denny has since toured throughout the United States, Europe, Canada and the Caribbean, and has performed on many national and local television and radio shows including the National Cleveland Style Polka Hall of Fame All-Star Band. He has recorded with numerous bands and musicians including Roger Bright, Frank Yankovic, Joey Miskulin, Frankie Kramer, and Hank Thunander, and has performed with Steve Meisner, Verne Meisner, Jeff Pecon, Roman Possedi, Gaylord Klancnik, Craig Ebel & DyVersaCo and Grammy Award winner, “Canada’s Polka King”, "Walter Ostanek". Craig Ebel has been playing drums for 30 years in all styles of music including rock, country, big band, and polka. He grew up in a musical family, with his mother singing and playing guitar in country western bands and his father building and operating the Bel-Rae Ballroom, one of the most popular dance spots in Minnesota. His knowledge and love of polka music has earned him a broadcasting career, producing and hosting “It’s Polka Time!” a popular syndicated polka radio show currently heard throughout the Midwest and on the Internet. He has also played for numerous bands including The Roger Bright Band, Frankie Yankovic, Myron Floren, Al Meixner and Dick Contino. Craig’s unique style of percussion, vocals and humor, as well as his creative song writing, adds an exciting dimension and flair to "The International Main Street Polka Band".
